Mid Boost 

  • Uses drama and improvisation to spark children’s’ imagination and allow them to explore the world of theatre freely and safely.

  • Provides a safe, creative space for children to meet, interact and make friends.

  • Introduces drama skills and theatre styles.

  • Build child’s confidence and self-esteem, and enhances public speaking.

  • Develops drama and performance skills.

  • Links into Primary National Curriculum Framework in the areas of Communication and Language, Physical Development, Literacy, Understanding of the World Expressive Arts and Design.

  • Enhances child’s Personal, Social and Emotional Development and encourages positive interaction and relationships.

For Junior School aged children (start of year 3-end of year 6)

Mid Boost sessions aim to enable participants to use a variety of drama and performance techniques creatively and collaboratively. The workshops are individually tailored to the needs of the group and can include a mixture of acting, singing and dancing, depending on the requirements of the group as a whole.


Through the use of improvisation, script work, mime and movement and vocal expression participants will be encouraged to discover and nurture their talents and interests, as well as build their confidence and develop their creativity. Participants may choose to share the skills they have learnt with parents and friends at the end of each term.

Requirements for the session:

Participant should wear comfortable clothing and footwear. It is advised that participants’ bring with them a bottle of water and a snack for the break.
